What a row on this page means

Applications are filed by machine title — one row per title and rear-suspension variant, with the systems that publish it merged onto the row. A row appears below when that row carries a Camso application and no Kimpex Commander WS4 application.

That is a statement about what is published under that title, and nothing more. It is not a statement that a WS4 cannot be made to fit the machine. If your quad is on one of these lists, the practical reading is: Camso has published a mount kit for it, Kimpex has not published one under that name, and whether Kimpex has one under a different name is a question for a fitment desk with both catalogues open.

Of the 13 makes in the ATV catalogue, 8 carry applications from both manufacturers and 5 carry Camso applications only. This page is about the 8. The 5 are a separate and much smaller question, handled at Argo, Kymco and TGB.

The shared makes, by how much of each list is Camso-only

Read the last column first. It is the proportion of a make’s published rows that an owner cannot answer from the Kimpex list at all. It runs from 22% on Honda to 50% on Kawasaki.

The long tail everyone notices is the makes one manufacturer never reaches. It holds 22 rows. The tail below holds 310, inside makes where both manufacturers are present and an owner has no reason to suspect a gap. That is the finding: the gap is not at the edge of the catalogue, it is in the middle of it.

Camso states the scope of its own list on its ATV product pages, and states it as a count of models rather than as a list:

Kimpex publishes no equivalent statement of scope on the Commander WS4 page and no note about which machines it does and does not cover. The page lists the kit, the three separate components an order also needs, and a vehicle search. Two things follow for a buyer: a WS4 order is not one line item, and an empty result in that vehicle search is not an answer about your machine — it is the absence of one.

The rows, by make

These are complete lists, not samples. Each table is every row for that make with no published Kimpex application under the same title, with the rear-suspension value, the sprocket pair and the published conditions the catalogue records against it.

The system column is worth reading. Most of these rows are published by both Camso systems together and a smaller number by one of the two alone. Camso publishes the same all-terrain rating on both — “All-terrain 300 to 1000cc” — and adds a side-by-side range to the X4S only; read 2026-09-26. Where your row names only one of the two, that is the system with a published mount kit for your machine, and it narrows what you can actually order rather than telling you which system is better.

Two things put a row on that list, and one of them is a spelling

A row lands above either because Kimpex publishes no application for the machine, or because Kimpex publishes it under a title our match cannot see. The second case is real and it is mechanical: the two manufacturers do not spell the model lines the same way, and a title match is literal.

The pairs below were found by asking which name-words appear only on a make’s Camso rows while sitting inside a longer word on one of the same make’s Kimpex rows. Every pair is a place where the two catalogues are describing the same model line and only one of them puts a space in it.

The word test catches joined spellings. It says nothing about a model line renamed, abbreviated or split between the two catalogues, and those cases exist too. So read the tables above as no Kimpex application is published under this title — and if your machine is on one, try the other spelling, the abbreviation and the engine code in the vehicle search before you take the empty result at face value.

Which spelling and which code, per make, is what Identify covers: the badge years on an Arctic Cat, the CForce and UForce prefixes, the Suzuki model code, the Kawasaki designation. A row on this page is only reliable once the title you are matching against is the one the manufacturer actually filed.

The conditions these rows carry

64 of the rows above carry at least one published manufacturer condition — the manufacturer saying the install is not simply bolt-on. Camso publishes the flag and defines it in a legend at the head of its application guide. It does not publish what the condition means on the bench for a particular machine, so if your row carries one, ask whoever is quoting the kit what comes off your machine and what has to be bought on top of the kit.

Kimpex publishes no per-application condition data at all: every Commander WS4 record in this catalogue has an empty remarks field. The absence of a WS4 entry below means nobody has published a condition for it — not that none exists. Camso is the only manufacturer here that publishes these flags, so this page is necessarily a Camso view of the catalogue.

Every row above is a row where the Kimpex column is empty, and an empty Kimpex column tells you nothing about conditions in either direction. The tables are a Camso view because Camso is the only party publishing the flags.

Read the whole condition set on your row, not the first flag. Learning that a machine needs a suspension lift kit without learning the same row is flagged for permanent interference is half the story, and it is the expensive half that gets left out. If your machine is on one of these lists

The rows tell you which manufacturer has published a mount kit for your title and what conditions came with it. They do not tell you whether that kit is still made. Camso’s own guide encodes availability as a colour key rather than text — the legend reads new item now available, available to order, modified, phase out, obsolete, read 2026-09-26 — so a reference that is published is not necessarily a reference you can still order. Ask for the availability against your part number by name, and ask it about the mount kit as well as the track units — the guide carries them as separate references, so they can be in different states.

Five things to settle before you commit, in this order:

1. Confirm the row is yours. Model year and rear suspension, checked under the machine rather than off a brochure — rigid axle and independent take different mounting hardware.
2. Check what the row is flagged for, all of it, and get the year span the flag is published against. A flag on a neighbouring year is not a flag on yours, and the reverse.
3. Ask what comes off the machine and what has to be bought beyond the kit. A suspension lift is hardware and labour that the kit price does not contain.
4. Ask whether the reference is current, or phasing out. The colour key above is the manufacturer’s own admission that this changes.
5. If you wanted the WS4, have the counter search your machine under every spelling and code before accepting that there is no application. Remember a WS4 order needs three further components beyond the kit itself.
